WHO CAN BELONG TO THE GROUP?
Active members with voting rights must have at least one physician on staff who practices Hematology or Oncology. Associate members are additional staff members from offices with one active member. Allied members are any interested party, such as professional and pharmaceutical representatives. Neither associate nor allied members have voting rights. Members come from many parts of Oregon.WHO CAN ATTEND THE MEETINGS?
Our meetings are open to members, physicians, and by invitation, to interested parties. The business sessions of our meetings are open to Active Members only.WHERE ARE MEETINGS HELD?
Meetings are held in Portland and on a rotating basis in other areas of Oregon.WHAT DOES SAMON DO?
The original group started in the summer of 2003, discussing all issues that affect an administrator of Hematology/Oncology practices. We are a registered, private, not-for-profit Oregon corporation, and we continue to expand our membership. We provide networking opportunities and a newsletter and website for our members. We We also offer an education which features speakers addressing current topics and issues relevant to both office management and the unique issues faced in the practice of Hematology and Oncology.
